Notes:

What a show. I bought my ticket 6 months back and could not wait for this. Tom did
not disappoint. Set featured 4 songs from Wildflowers (my favorite Petty record)
and he also threw in “Walls” from the “She’s The One” soundtrack. Earlier in the
tour, he was doing “Time To Move On” – thats the only thing that would have made this
incredible show even better. The sound was good to great at times. I felt like
the house mix was a bit muddy, but it is what it is. I had a drunk in front
of me who would “WHOO!” at the end at beginning of every song. I spent a good
hour removing as many “WHOO’s!” as I possibly could. If you think you hear
strange cuts in crowd noise between songs, this is why. I even removed him during
the encore track the best I could. That guy just really got on my nerves. When
he did it during the music (which was few and far between), I either left it or
lowered the spike by about 3db’s. I also had a girl behind me who knew all the words
to every Wildflowers song, so she can be heard singing along to “Crawling Back To You”
and some others. She wasnt drunk and she actually KNEW the songs, so I cant knock her.
The recording picks her up talking with her friend occasionally, too. All in all, a
great performance from The Heartbreakers, their first back since 6/14/06. The site of
their last Columbus concert is now an IKEA! Things sure do change over time!
