this was posted before remastering on May 29, 2011 by nevinsrip at torrent #358883.
I have balanced out some changes in volume levels in a few of the songs, (some in “breakdown”)
reduced several (hundred) loud claps (individually) by 3-4 DB’s, mostly between songs,
(because the loudest ones were as loud or louder than the loudest music in here)
applied a fade in to track 1, reduced or removed some flaws at the end of track 5,
added zeroes to the FLAC files for all the 1st 9 tracks to make them sort correctly for CD burning,
spliced the tape flip gap seamlessly and removed the recorder shutoff noise and silent gap after “cry to me”,
spliced the encore applause edit in the original recording and removed the short gap between it,
and re-tracked so each track begins at the start of a song, or Tom’s introduction of it.
No dolby or other noise reduction or EQ was used in this original post, or this remastering of it.
there are still some flaws in the original recording (or transfer) at the end of track 5 and beginning of track 6.
the rest of it came out and survived pretty well for an auto-levelling type audience recording from 1979.
it was posted as a 2 CD set, but after remastering (and with no speed adjusting or removal of any talk or music)
the total runtime fits on 1 CD at 79:26, so no more “2 CD set” for this torrent.
this is now a “seamless” recording. the set and track times are now as follows:
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Tom Petty: lead vocals, rhythm guitar and keyboards
Mike Campbell: lead guitar
Benmont Tench: piano, keyboards and backing vocals
Ron Blair: bass, backing vocals
Stan Lynch: drums, backing vocals
touring their 3rd album, “damn the torpedoes”
a this and that production.
do not sell this recording.
share freely, losslessly and gaplessly.
