  • The purpose of this site is to preserve and share the band’s live legacy in one accessible place. It’s run by a longtime fan and is not affiliated with the Petty estate.
  • No content is locked behind a paywall. No login is required. No ads, no tracking, no spam. Just shows.
  • Most recordings come from long-standing fan trades and digital bootlegs. When known, sources are credited. If you notice errors or have better versions, feel free to reach out.

Why This Exists

  • Recordings get lost. Links die. Torrents vanish. This site is a way to keep everything together and searchable. Some shows are added in big batches. Others trickle in over time. It’s a living, evolving archive.
  • The Bootleg Series section is specially curated. Other shows are listed as they’re available, without filters or rankings.

How the Site Is Funded

  • Live Petty is fully supported by donations. There is no commercial intent and no monetization of any kind.
  • Hosting costs include WordPress and Google Drive storage, and typically total a few hundred dollars per year. If you’d like to help cover those costs, a donation link is available.
  • This archive will always be free to access. Donations are appreciated but never required.
  • I covered the first year’s costs (2018), and that is all I am covering myself. There is a PayPal donate button to keep this site running. If you enjoy this site, let’s keep it running. If we don’t get enough, the site will go away.

About the content

  • Audio will be labeled as audience (AUD), soundboard (SBD), FM (Radio), or Studio (STU) recordings.
  • If you have any new shows or upgrades to ones that I already have, contact me to get them added to the site.
  • Video will be labeled as audience shot (aud-shot) and professional shot (pro-shot).
  • Shows that were only released on VHS or laserdisc in the 70s, 80s, and 90s that never got a proper DVD/Blu-Ray release are here as well. These are considered “out of print” and not available to purchase anymore. If they ever get officially released, they will be removed from this site.
